The Nova Scotia Soccer League has adopted a two-phase format for the U13AA Girls division to provide meaningful developmental competition for all eight (8) teams entered, while establishing the top four (4) teams for Provincial Championships in accordance with the Soccer Nova Scotia Competitions Handbook, Section 4.3.1.1. In alignment with Canada Soccer Grassroots Standards, no scores or standings will be recorded at the U13 age group during the regular season. Competitive standings will only apply during the pool play phase used to determine Provincial qualification, in accordance with the 2026 NSSL Summer Handbook (Section 6.6 - Removal of scores and standings at U13 divisions).
Update - City U13AA Girls Withdrawal: Following the original schedule release, City U13AA Girls have withdrawn from the AA division. The playoff format has been restructured from three pools of three to two pools of four teams to make the most of the remaining eight teams while minimizing schedule disruption. As a result, the season now consists of 16 total games per team rather than the originally planned 18.
All eight (8) teams will attempt to play every other team twice, for a total of thirteen (13) games per team. No scores or standings are recorded during this phase, consistent with Canada Soccer Grassroots Standards. The focus is on developmental play, repeated exposure to all opponents, and balanced competition across the division.
From August 15th, the division is split into two pools of four (4) teams. Each team plays every other team in their pool once, for a total of three (3) pool games per team.
